Happy New Year to all
We didnt have many
runners in December but the few we had did well Restless Bay,
Ishigunnaeatit and Tepmokea all narrowly touched off and Priestleys
Reward got his head back infront at Lingfield on New Years eve.
We have a handful to run on the all weather
throughout January & Febuary along with a couple going out to
compete in France and we might even have two contenders for the snow
racing in Switzeland which will be our first visit.
Everyone is busy back from the Christmas break, all
horses getting back into there training regime and were all looking
forward to the new season.
TREBLE FOR THE TEAM coming firstly from new recruit BAY LAUREL....
Wed, Dec 5, 2012
We were disappointed to hear Southwell was flooded and wouldn't be raceable again till February as we had a few horses that would have loved the surface and a few fancied declarations there.
Nevertheless, we had a great week last week with a Treble coming firstly from new recruit BAY LAUREL who we picked up from Doncaster sales for only £3500 she was bought to breed with as she is a half sister to the Group 1 winning Mayson so we were delighted to get a result at the first time of asking.
Later that day at Kempton Rivellino made it a double, he is a lovely horse that was purchased from the breeze ups and has been unlucky not to have already won his maiden having had slight issues with the stalls he refused to enter at York and next time out the ground was far too soft at Ayr but patience paid off and he won in nice style under Jim Crowley.
MEDIA HYPE an improving horse made it a treble for us on the day when taking the Listed race at Kempton under Martin Harley we are hoping he can move onto Group glory next season.
Stepping Ahead made a pleasing debut the following day running very greenly and getting touched off by a neck, he is sure to come on for the run and improve as a three year old.
