The flat season has started to get rolling...

The flat season has started to get rolling now and we have
enjoyed getting a few winners on the board.
LADY CRISTAL has really come to herself recently and managed
to notch another success in good style this time at Musselburgh in the sprint
handicap with Clifford Lee taking his valuable 5lb claim off her. This was her
first win on turf having been previously successful on All weather.
HAVANA GREY cemented his promise from running second first
time out to land the maiden at Ayr in very good fashion winning by 5 lengths
under Pj Mcdonald. He is a colt we think a lot about and could now have an
entry at Royal Ascot.
BURISHOOLE ABBEY was plagued with niggling issues after his
win last season put that all behind him to score second time out this year at
Ayr under Clifford Lee. That should have given the horse some confidence and we
hope he will improve from the run. It was a nice winner for long time
supporters of the yard Mr & Mrs Gittins.
RINARIA takes the maiden at Beverley ...
Mon, May 1, 2017
RINARIA takes the maiden at Beverley under a well judged ride by Jordan Vaughan on only her second racecourse start. She is improving all the time and should come on again for the run.
TWIZZELL got back in the winners enclosure back at Beverley where she won her maiden at two. She relishes the stiff five furlongs they have there and we were delighted to get a winner for owner John Dance. It was nearly a double for John & Jess when ROCKIN FELLA was narrowly denied after hanging across the track.
We have had plenty of placed efforts this last month with BORN TO BOOM, FEAR THE FURY & MADE OF HONOUR all running well in defeat. The season is starting to gear up now and we have plenty of horses ready to make an appearance especially when the rain comes.
CAPLA DANCER SCORES ON DEBUT AT 66-1!

CAPLA DANCER scores on debut at 66-1!
The daughter of Red Jazz our cheapest of our two year old recruits showed her toughness when sticking her head out and battling a more experienced rival to land the Fillies Maiden at Ripon under Joey Haynes.
EDGED IN BLUE was another that defied big odds to land a win this time at Yarmouth for owners Zorka and Charles Wentworth ridden by Jordan Vaughan.
TESTBOURNE ran another solid race at Yarmouth to finish second on ground probably a bit on the quick side for him.
HAVANA GREY a son of first season sire Havana Gold showed good early speed first time out at Nottingham to be narrowly denied on the line. He was left out in front on his own and the greenness showed as once the winner joined him he got going again through the line. He is a lovely colt and like most of ours will come on for the run.
The Middleham Open Day was on Easter Monday..
Wed, Apr 19, 2017
The Middleham Open Day was on Easter Monday and we had a good turnout up at Spigot Lodge with Quiet Reflection being a big attraction. She loves the attention so was very happy to see her fans flocking In. Racing Welfare had then organised a fun afternoon with yard competitions and both our teams did exceptionally well winning three events and going clear in the showjumping.
On the runners front we have had our first few two year olds runners ROCKIN FELLA finished third for the second time at Musselburgh following up on his promising run at Redcar.
MARSH STORM was narrowly denied when getting third place first time out at Newcastle for owner John Dance at his local track.
UNFORTUNATELY made his debut at racing head quarters in what looked a very hot maiden and we were delighted to see him run a promising race in 5th place.
We have plenty of two year olds coming along and will be ready to race shortly.
