MAGIC DESTINY took the fillies handicap at Ayr
Mon, July 15, 2013
MAGIC DESTINY took the fillies handicap at Ayr in good style under
Danny Tudhope who didnt need to waste any energy as she cruised clear of
the field. We have always thought alot of her and we are hoping to pick
black type up this year.
Angus Og was narrowly denied the following day at
Ayr finishing a good second he likes to make the running and should be
getting his head back in front before long.
ground has been pretty quick everywhere with all the glorious sunshine
we have been having so we will be waiting with a few of ours for a bit
of rain to ease the ground.
This week was full of seconds!
Sat, July 6, 2013
MR MATTHEWS finished a close second at Newcastle under Mick O'Connell in the novice 2 year old race, he will improve with a bit more give underfoot and a step up in trip.
EXACTEMENT ran a blinder in the Listed event at Warwick she is a tough filly and is sure to get her head in front soon.
VISIT COPENHAGEN ran a solid race in defeat at Leicester she is a tricky filly at home and is still learning how to race.
BOLD PREDICTION was narrowly denied a second win at Newcastle on plate day, being stepped up to one mile he showed he stayed well.
LIBERTARIAN will bounce back !
Thu, July 4, 2013
Unfortunately LIBERTARIANS last run for us was disappointing, he ran very flat and having his third run at highest level in 44 days obviously had taken its toll. Of all the scenarios that went through our heads it never entered our minds he would run that bad. He has previously beaten the first three home so the form is there. He is a big raw horse and given a bit of time he is sure to bounce back. IBERTARIAN will head off this week to Godolphins stables in Newmarket and we wish the team there the best for the future, they have been a pleasure to deal with.
MR MATTHEWS wins decisively
Thu, June 20, 2013
MR MATTHEWS wins decisively under Mick O'Connell at Carlisle to be
our first two year old winner of the season, he ran very green first
time out and was only just collared late home but he showed no signs of
inexperience this time round and bounded clear. CASCADIA made it two two
year old winners in two days when taking the seller at Thirsk under a
good patient ride from PJ Mcdonald. The daughter of Mujadil was a little
out paced in the first part of the race but once she got into it she
put the race to bed in a matter of strides, hopefully she will come on
from that and be competitive at a higher level.
BOOTS AND SPURS carrying the silks of long time owner Mr Colin
Bryce landed his second win of the season under Jim Crowley at Warwick,
usually a mud lover we were very pleased to see him transfer his form
onto quicker ground, he is a very consistent horse who is improving with
REVE DE NUIT put another good effort up in defeat when being
touched off in the last few strides in the Queen Mothers Cup at York on Saturday under Hayley Moore.
