GOOD DAY AT HAMILTON!
Tue, Sept 24, 2013
BARON RUN seems to have got the hang of things now making it two
from two on his last two starts both at Hamilton, he is a lovely horse
who has shown alot of talent at home but has always been a nervous and
keen going type, Joey Haynes who has ridden him for both wins however
seems to have the key to him. DANCHEUR then made it a double when taking
the feature race a six furlong sprint in impressive style she has been
unlucky not to get her own way in front a few times this year and it
seems to of made the difference.
ODELIZ shows her true class when winning the Listed
contest at Longchamp under Danny Tudhope, she later went onto be an
unlucky third when getting blocked in and only beaten 1 length in
another Listed event at Longchamp later in September.
HAY DUDE stepping up to Group company for the first
time ran a blinder to finish second, he is a horse going places and we
are excited to see what he does next.
KATIE finished second in the class 2 nursery at Doncaster at The Ledger
meeting she is an extremely consistent filly who is taking her racing
TRIXIE MALONE half sister to the yards retired Moody
Tunes who won numerous races landed her first success at the Ayr
Western meeting her breeding suggest she should get better with age just
like her brother did.
MAGIC DESTINY ran another cracker to get second also at Ayr under Joey Haynes going down by only a kneck.
We have had a fantastic August with 14 winners, 9 seconds & 14 3rd & 4th placed horses!

WHAT A FANTASTIC AUGUST!!! - Joey Haynes our apprentice has also been in
fine form and has been riding plenty of winners, he is currently only
12 winners under the leading apprentice not bad for an 18 year old that
rode his first winner only last year!
NORTHERN WATER showed his game attitude when winning
comfortably at Ripon in the two year old conditions event after having
run and placed 2nd only two days previous and winning at Beverley only a
week before that.
ODELIZ took the fillies handicap at Nottingham and
then went on to win at Longchamp in a Listed race. She is a lovely big
filly who has only just grown into her giant frame and we are expecting
her to keep progressing!
GREED IS GOOD stepped up to one mile won the
Yearling bonus maiden at Thirsk having finished second two weeks
previous over six furlongs at Newmarket.
RUN finally got his head infront when winning the maiden at Hamilton
over 6 furlongs, he is mentally immature and it has taken him a while to
get to grips with everything but he is a horse with plenty of ability
and should keep improving.
CASCADIA romped home under Joey Haynes in the claimer at Southwell, she loved the surface!
CITIZEN has just kept getting better this season and posted a victory
in a tough race at Beverley under a fantastic front running ride from
LONDON CITIZEN ran a brilliant race in The Swedish Derby...
Wed, Aug 14, 2013
LONDON CITIZEN ran a brilliant race in The Swedish Derby to finish
second, we enjoyed our trip over there and everyone involved was
delighted with the result.
ANGUS OG got his head back infront at Thirsk in the sprint after being narrowly beaten last time out,
SHAKE HANDS was the second french bred colt to win this month getting
on top of his rivals late on after running green in the early stages
under Martin Harley, he should come on for the run and strengthen up
throughout the year.
VISIT COPENHAGEN was the first leg of the double we
enjoyed at Haydock when gamely hanging on after making the running, she
has been consistently placed throughout the year and it was nice to see
her get her head in front.
HAY DUDE showed his class when easily winning the
feature race at HAydock under a confident ride by Danny Tudhope he is a
horse with alot of potential and we think he will be gaining Black Type
WITCHY WOMAN made it another winner for our new
apprentice Joey Haynes and we were delighted to have a winner for long
serving owners Colin & Melba Bryce who have supported the yard for a
ANGELS CALLING must like the welsh air as she
recoreded her second win on her second visit to Ffos LAs under Joey
Haynes, she has put up much better efforts recently back on turf.
RISING BREEZE a handsome french bred son of Shirocco made his debut at
Nottingham and firmly put his opposition in place when professionally
drawing clear in the closing strides, he may be heading to France for
his next run.
ISHIKAWA a new recruit to the yard won on his second
time of asking for us after putting up a good debut run in second place
he went one better back at Sandown under our apprentice Rob J
Fitzpatrick, he then went back to Sandown the following week and
recorded another second to make three runs and three visits to the
winners enclosure since joining us.
YOURARTISONFIRE wins impressively at Sandown hitting
the front under Martin Harley and drawing clear in the final furlong.
He is a horse we think alot of and should keep improving.
BOLD PREDICTION wins impressively at Ayr!
Sat, July 27, 2013
BOLD PREDICTION won impressively at Ayr three days after being
placed at Pontefract by striding clear from start to finish under our
apprentice Joey Haynes it was a good performance and he defiantly has
appreciated the step up in trip.
DANCHEUR was unlucky in defeat at Ayr on monday, the free going filly
made all of the running under PJ Mcdonald and was collared on the line,
she is very consistent and always seems to run her race on quick ground.
ISHIKAWA making his debut for us at Sandown under
yard apprentice Robbie Fitzpatrick finishing a good second his best race
yet on turf. Also at Sandown GREED IS GOOD ran a blinder to finish
second at a big price, he is a stunning son of Myboycharlie and we think
he will continue to progress.
YOURARTISONFIRE flew up the straight to win
decisively at Sandown under a confident ride by Martin Harley having
been placed all year it was good to get his head back infront and we are
hoping he will now go on from this.
BALTIC FIRE was our 66-1 placed horse this week, stepping up in
trip and with first time head gear he put up a good performance running
on strongly to grab third place.
ran a much improved race back on turf to finish second at Thirsk,
having ran disappointingly on the all-weather last time the switch back
to turf proved successful. She would prefer abit of juice in the ground
so when the rain comes she will hopefully be getting her head back
We look to have a busy week of runners coming up
with a couple heading to Glorious Goodwood hoping to turn all these
seconds into winners
