BOLD PREDICTION wins impressively at Ayr!
Sat, July 27, 2013
BOLD PREDICTION won impressively at Ayr three days after being placed at Pontefract by striding clear from start to finish under our apprentice Joey Haynes it was a good performance and he defiantly has appreciated the step up in trip.

DANCHEUR
was unlucky in defeat at Ayr on monday, the free going filly made all of the running under PJ Mcdonald and was collared on the line, she is very consistent and always seems to run her race on quick ground.

ISHIKAWA making his debut for us at Sandown under yard apprentice Robbie Fitzpatrick finishing a good second his best race yet on turf. Also at Sandown GREED IS GOOD ran a blinder to finish second at a big price, he is a stunning son of Myboycharlie and we think he will continue to progress.

YOURARTISONFIRE flew up the straight to win decisively at Sandown under a confident ride by Martin Harley having been placed all year it was good to get his head back infront and we are hoping he will now go on from this.

BALTIC FIRE was our 66-1 placed horse this week, stepping up in trip and with first time head gear he put up a good performance running on strongly to grab third place.

ANGELS CALLING ran a much improved race back on turf to finish second at Thirsk, having ran disappointingly on the all-weather last time the switch back to turf proved successful. She would prefer abit of juice in the ground so when the rain comes she will hopefully be getting her head back infront.

We look to have a busy week of runners coming up with a couple heading to Glorious Goodwood hoping to turn all these seconds into winners
A weekend of placed horses!
Mon, July 22, 2013
We have had a weekend of placed horses all getting in the winners enclosure but unfortunately not for first place!

BOLD PREDICTION
ran another game race being stepped up in trip to one mile at Pontefract he has been fairly consistent since his run and we are hoping he will get his head back infront soon!

WITCHY WOMAN down in grade ran a good race in defeat finishing third at Ripon where NORTHERN WATER finished third in the following race for Maiden two year olds. It looked a hot contest and we were delighted with his racecourse debut, he will come on for the experience.

LONDON CITIZEN put a disappointing run behind him back at Ripon where he has ran well before finishing second in the Bell ringer Handicap race it was his first time at one mile four furlongs and he looked to stay the trip well.

MAGIC DESTINY
ran a blinder at Haydock in a class 2 conditions race to finish second, she is an improving filly who goes on all ground. There was only three other runners and she hit the front earlier than ideal which probably cost her the race.

We have a busy week ahead and we are looking forward to a bit of rain that is forecast for some of our runners.

Mon, July 15, 2013
Karl will be delighted to take back over the reins in the near future after the BHA licensing committee have granted him a licence to train here at Spigot Lodge, it will remain a family business where the whole team put alot in and all play there own parts. We would like to thank all our owners for the continued support they have given us and long may it continue.
MAGIC DESTINY took the fillies handicap at Ayr
Mon, July 15, 2013
MAGIC DESTINY took the fillies handicap at Ayr in good style under Danny Tudhope who didnt need to waste any energy as she cruised clear of the field. We have always thought alot of her and we are hoping to pick black type up this year.

Angus Og was narrowly denied the following day at Ayr finishing a good second he likes to make the running and should be getting his head back in front before long.

The ground has been pretty quick everywhere with all the glorious sunshine we have been having so we will be waiting with a few of ours for a bit of rain to ease the ground.
