Seven runners in the winners enclosure!
Mon, Feb 10, 2014
So far we have had seven runners in February all of which have been in the winners enclosure.

RIVELLINO ran a blinder to swoop down the outside and take the class 2 sprint at Lingfield on Saturday under a great ride from Danny Tudhope. He is a horse we have always thought a lot of and were delighted to see him reaching his potential for long time owners of ours Colin & Melba Bryce.

EVA CLARE was second on her debut in the colours of Mount Racing club, she had a few set backs last year resulting in her delayed debut but the patience of her owners paid off when she came in second at Wolverhampton.

ROMANTIC BLISS also ran a good race on her first run back as a three year old, she has wintered well and we are hoping to pick a race up with her before she goes off to the sales in Ascot.

CASCADIA has to be one of the most unlucky horses we have here, she got completely wiped out of the race and almost brought to a standstill by another horse on the first bend at Wolverhampton loosing her around 15 lengths with the rest of the field she continued on and got upto finish a game second without a doubt if that had not of happened she would have won. Cascadia is also in at Ascot sales this month.

It has definitely been a case of seconditious with some close finishes another was HOT RIGHT NOW who came off second best in the fillies handicap at Southwell on Sunday under yard apprentice Rob J Fitzpatrick.
HOT RIGHT NOW bounced back to form..
Mon, Feb 3, 2014
HOT RIGHT NOW bounced back to form under a good front running ride from our apprentice Rob Fitzpatrick she is bound to come on from the run and we are hoping there is more to come from her in the near future.

TRUANCY battled back hard to take second in a competitive three year old only handicap at Kempton under Joey Haynes, having made the running he looked like getting swallowed up in the home straight but he stuck to his guns to get back up close home to take second.

MIAMI GATOR a former Carlisle Bell winner managed to get his head back infront at Kempton, in his younger years he was a model of consistency and it was nice to see the old yard stick get back in the winners enclosure.

WITCHY WOMAN was very unlucky to just get touched off for the second time in a fortnight she was getting back up in every stride but the winning post just came a few strides too soon for her.
New Year's Day starts well!
Wed, Jan 15, 2014
News Year Day started off well with our first runner and first winner of 2014 when Reve De Nuit took the claimer at Southwell by seven lengths. He will now head to St Moritz for the racing on ice in February.

Georgian Bay was denied by the shortest of noses under Joey Haynes at Wolverhampton, the judge took ages to decide the winner and the photo showed just how close it was!
Rivellino was also second but put up a good performance in defeat at Lingfield, he is defiantley a horse that appreciates the All weather surface and were hoping he can pick up a big prize over the winter months.

Our two year olds are now on the gallops and going nicely, they will continue steady away with lots of education work.
December update..
Wed, Dec 18, 2013
We havnt had many runners in December but the runners we have had have put up some good performances!

TRUANCY got off the mark on his second run for us having previously ran well finishing third at Kempton he went on to win his maiden at Wolverhampton under Robert Winston.

DOYNOSAUR showed her authority at Newcastle on her second ever run over fences when taking the Novice chase beating 138  rated Simply Ned. She's a mare we bred and have always thought alot of, she has always been a giant of a horse and has taken her time to grow into her massive frame. She has now won a bumper, a hurdle and a chase!

RIVELLINO scores impressively at Wolverhampton making it 100 winners for jockey Martin Harley. Martin is a jockey we like to use when available and we were very pleased he could ride his 100th winner of the season aboard one of ours. Rivellino's owners Colin & Melba Bryce have supported the yard for a long time so it is always nice to get them a well deserved winner.
