There were smiles all round after Odeliz a consistent yet unlucky mare who has been runner up on so many occasions stormed to victory when making the running under a great ride from Adrie de vries in the Darley Prix Jean Romanet. Owner Barbara Keller is a delight to train for and we were all delighted to see how much her first Group 1 meant to her. A mention must go out to Pierre Burban who has looked after her and ridden her since she was a two year old and has travelled all over the UK, Europe & Canada with her. It is a massive boost to the yard and we hope to get further success before she goes to the Mares sale in December.

TRIXIE MALONE the ever consistent one eyed mare did it again under regular jockey Joey Haynes, she broke well and never saw a rival in the Mares handicap at Salisbury. This is her last season before she goes to stud so we might try and get some black type before she retires to the paddocks.

GEORGIAN BAY under yard apprentice Jordan Vaughan stormed to victory in the London Mile Qualifier at Kempton.

The French bred LONDON PROTOCOL went back to his roots to gain his first success in a conditions race at Deauville, he was gelded after his first two runs in the Uk where he was placed on both occasions but was coltish in preliminaries.

KATIE'S DIAMOND ran another great race to finish third in the Group 3 over seven furlongs, Jockey Andrea Atzeni thought she would have benefited from a stronger pace.

CHEVALLIER made it three wins in a row when taking his second race for us under Jordan Vaughan having been claimed from Richard Hannon by owner Tim Dykes.

DOC CHARM finally got his head in front and did it in good style winning by 6 lengths under Richard Kingscote, he is a horse who loves the ground softer the better.

INTENSE TANGO ran another solid race in defeat finishing second in the staying handicap at Newmarket, she is a consistent mare with a lot of ability.

PEARL CASTLE was denied a win in The Old Newton Cup going down by a head, he went clear two furlongs out and was probably idling abit in front. We haven't had him long and are still learning about him but that was a very good performance and he should have a good race in him.

Everyone was in high spirits here at Spigot Lodge after completing two doubles in two days courtesy of the tough JAYKAY making it three wins in ten days under Joey Haynes when taking the one mile handicap at Hamilton, he's a game horse who loves a bit of cut in the ground when he hits form he seems to rattle off a few wins in quick concession as he did the same last year. QUIET REFLACTION was the first part of the double when winning her maiden first time out at Hamilton in fantastic style. The daughter of Showcasing has been working nicely at home after being purchased from Doncaster Breeze up sales in May she eased clear to win very comfortably under Joey Haynes.

WAYWARD HOOF ran a good race forst time out after being green to finish third in a Novice event but he showed no greenness this time when winning at his second attempt at Haydosk under Keegan Latham. He beat a lot of fancied horses and did so in good style he may now head to York for the Ebor meeting.

YOURARTISONFIRE wins his fifth race under Sylvester de Sousa in the feature handicap at Pontefract. He loves to run fresh and after a short break after his spring campaign he has been in great form at home and managed to transfer that to the track when winning in a tight finish. He is a consistent old horse and a lovely character to have in the yard.

DRESSED IN FUR made the trip to Dieppe in France worth while when winning the claimer and getting claimed to stay in France. She won twice for us this season and were sure she will manage to pick up plenty more Euro in France.
WE'LL SHAKE HANDS makes it two wins for the season...

WE'LL SHAKE HANDS makes it two wins for the season when stepped upto One Mile 2 furlongs at Newcastle ridden by Ben Curtis.

KATIE'S DIAMOND makes it two wins from two starts in first time colours of Qatar racing who purchased her with one of our owners Barbara Keller. We were delighted for her to win being our first horse for them and an exciting prospect for the future. She now heads to France.

ODELIZ gets her head infront in Hamburg after finishing in the places for the majority of the season. She really deserved her Group win and Owner Barbara Keller was delighted to see her get her head infront on her first trip to Germany. She may well now go to France in August.

LORD BEN STACK the huge son of Dylan Thomas was unlucky not to get his head back infront at Haydock under Graham Lee when being touched off by a neck after being denied a clear run in the final furlong. He is a horse with plenty of potential and should keep improving with time. Graham Lee was very impressed by him and were hoping to see him come on nicely from that run.

JAYKAY makes it two wins in a week both times at Ayr and both ridden by Joey Haynes who rode out his claim on his second win on him. He thrives at this time of year and enjoys the front running tactics that saw him score easily. He will now go with a penalty and head to Hamilton.

DALMARELLA DANCER was narrowly denied a double back at Windsor when going down by a nose in a photo finish. She has ran well both times at Windsor under yard apprentice Jordan Vaughan and may head back there next week.

YOURE FIRED ran another solid race when finishing third coming through the pack late on under Graham Lee at York. He prefers a little more give under foot but put up a genuine gutsy performance.
MOONDYNE JOE makes a winning debut
Thu, June 25, 2015
MOONDYNE JOE makes a winning debut under Ben Curtis at Carlisle in the two year old sprint. The good looking son of Bushranger hung on gamely and should come on for the run.

The always consistent TRIXIE MALONE finished in the money again finishing in second place at Carlise, she is a super tough filly and always tries her heart out!

DALMARELLA DANCER put her best foot forward when gaining her second career win at Windsor under a good ride from stable apprentice Jordan Vaughan. She has been frustrating since her three year old win but we are delighted to see her back in front.

LITTLE LADY KATIE won the feature handicap at Ayr only to be disqualified and placed into second position after drifting over on the second. It was a great shame for all connections involved but she has defiantly trained on at three and were hoping she can gain another win again soon.

BARBAROUS RELIC won at Ayr on his second career start under Ben Curtis, upped to six furlongs made all the difference and the son of American sire Scat Daddy should keep improving.

MILLENIUM FALCON finished third in the conditions race at Chelmsford where she didn't handle the sharp bend and they broke the track record.

KELLY'S DINO was another two year old to make a winning debut at Carlisle even after making hard work of it being left 8 lengths coming out of the stalls and coming wide round his rivals. He should come on a lot for the run like most of our two year olds and is bred for further.
